I would say walk, don't run to Marissa Davis but the glorious thing about her home birth midwifery practice is how she visits you. As she enters your home for visits she brings peace, joy, trust, humor, confidence and expertise. I looked forward to our appointments because I love her company. Marissa's midwifery model of care provides a strong foundation in expectant management and still she knows exactly how to proceed via a medical route if the need arises. My care from conception to postpartum is consistently outstanding. Our postpartum visits are worth noting. Marissa sat with me, chatted, filled my water and made me plates of food. She held my baby, yes, but she also held me and my family. I have sought Marissa's care for all three of my births. My husband says he would go to the ends of the earth to have Marissa help birth our baby. I trust Marissa with every fiber of my being and I thoroughly recommend her and Evergreen Midwifery Care.

It is hard to put into words the level of gratitude I have for Marissa and the care that she has shown me and our family. I was first under Marissa's care at a birth center for my first baby, and immediately felt safe and taken care of. Fast forward to my second pregnancy, we found out that Marissa was solely doing home births and I knew that this had to be our path. Every prenatal visit felt professional, informative, but also so comfortable it felt like a friend coming over to visit. I had my dream home birth last week thanks to Marissa and her team, feeling safe and cared for during every beautiful and hard moment. Thank you Marissa for everything you do - we are forever grateful that you were a part of bringing our babies earthside.

Marissa is hands down the BEST! My husband and I really wanted to have a natural home birth. I reached out to multiple midwives with most not even responding. Marissa answered right away and we set up a virtual appointment less than 24 hours later. After a 20 minute conversation I knew she was the right midwife for us. Marissa did many of my prenatal appointments and never got upset when I doubled up and still saw my OB too. I trust Marissa's expertise, knowledge, and opinion way more than my OB. Unfortunately baby and I struggled a few days after birth, but we were lucky to have Marissa. She went above and beyond to help us and connected me with the right specialists. She even joined us for the specialist appointment and advocated for us. Throughout my whole experience with Marissa there was never any judgement or negativity. If you are looking to have a homebirth Marissa is the midwife you want.

I hired Marissa for my 3rd pregnancy after two previous homebirths. I wanted to try a different midwife this go around, and was not disappointed at all when first meeting with Marissa! I really loved how confident and experienced she was. She is an extremely capable, caring, and proactive midwife who really cares about keeping homebirth safe. I felt very safe and cared for. When I was in labor she was very helpful with setting up our bed, helping with the birth tub, and making the room baby ready. She was wonderful at helping clean up after baby was born so I could just relax with my baby and husband. She really is a wonderful human who wants to help women birth their babies the way they want, while also keeping things safe. I highly recommend her!

Marissa has been a part of my care team for all 3 of my pregnancies and she caught my last two babies. I trusted her with my first home birth because of how knowledgeable she is and her excellent bedside manner and professionalism. One of the things I really appreciate about her is what a great listener she is and the mutual trust we shared. I also love how calm and collected she is even when things could be hectic in the birthing room. If I am blessed with another child I will definitely be seeking out Marissa for care again!

Marissa provided me the best healthcare I have ever received. She came to our house for each appointment and answered our questions for an hour if we needed. She is so kind and knowledgeable and I never felt judged by her during this vulnerable process. We ended up having a healthy, successful homebirth and I plan to use her for my future pregnancies as well! Marissa is super organized, professional, well educated, and just overall on top of everything the way you need your midwife to be. She empowered me to be in charge of my experience and my health, while offering me advice and evidence based solutions. We love Marissa!!!
