Meet Your Southern NH Homebirth Midwife
Holistic, Personalized Care for Every Stage
Marissa Davis, CPM with Evergreen Midwifery Care, provides comprehensive midwifery services for Southern New Hampshire families through prenatal care, labor, homebirth, and postpartum. We offer gentle wellness care tailored to your unique needs, whether you are planning a homebirth or seeking holistic well-woman care.
Evergreen is defined as universally and continually relevant, not limited in applicability to a particular event or date. Therefore, Evergreen Midwifery Care is relevant for fertility care, prenatal care, birth, postpartum care, and well-woman care into menopause.
Evergreen trees symbolize adaptability, hope, life, birth, fertility, and resilience. These attributes are what inspired the name Evergreen Midwifery Care.

Where I Come From
I grew up in Grand Rapids, a small town in Northern Minnesota. I later moved to Duluth, where I fell in love with Lake Superior and everything the lake and surrounding areas had to offer. After years in Minnesota, I relocated to Southern New Hampshire, where I have now called home for about seven years.
How It All Began
I have been involved with birth work since 2010. My sister introduced me to the idea that there was more to having a baby than just going to a hospital — and within weeks, I was enrolled in doula training.
My first birth was on Thanksgiving night in 2010. It impacted my heart and soul ever since. It was a beautiful birth, and I knew I had to help others try to achieve a similar experience. My next couple of births solidified that for me even more.
Over the next eight years I furthered my education and career by adding childbirth educator, HypnoBirthing educator, lactation counselor, and midwifery assistant to my practice.
Education & Training
In 2018 I enrolled at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College to earn an Associate's Degree in Direct Entry Midwifery, in addition to my Bachelor's Degree in Management from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
I completed my midwifery apprenticeships across Minnesota, Indiana, Oregon, and New Hampshire. In 2020, I joined The Birth Cottage as a staff midwife, where I served until the fall of 2024 — at which point I opened my own homebirth practice.
My Practice Model
My practice is built on informed consent — you get to choose which parts of care are best for you and your family. I believe deeply in the midwifery model of care and love that I can provide an option for those who want more control over their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.
