Experience Personalized Care with Evergreen Midwifery Care

Holistic Approach

I take a holistic approach to midwifery, which means I focus on the whole person and their unique needs. I provide personalized care that includes physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.

VBAC Support

If you have had a previous cesarean birth and are hoping for a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), I am here to support you. I will work with you to create a birth plan that takes into account your specific needs and concerns. I will provide education, resources, and emotional support throughout the process.

Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta capsules, tincture and delivery service if needed.

Waterbirth and Homebirth

I offer both water births and home births as options for those who desire a natural and comfortable birthing experience. I provide all necessary equipment and support to ensure the safety of you and your baby. Additionally, I will offer postpartum care and support.

  • The initial prenatal meeting is a longer appointment, lasting about an hour. During this time, we will review your pregnancy, birth, and health history. We will also complete the necessary paperwork, finalize financial arrangements, discuss your desires and expectations for care, assess your nutrition status, complete any desired lab work, and address any concerns or questions you may have.

  • Complete Prenatal Care
  • Prenatal visits are important for promoting a healthy pregnancy and birth. During these visits, we will have collaborative discussions and make informed choices regarding your pregnancy.
  • These visits will include physical assessments to check the health of your pregnancy and the well-being of your baby, as well as personalized nutritional, educational, and emotional support.
  • Visits will be scheduled monthly until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and weekly until birth. A home visit will be scheduled around 36 weeks.
  • Pregnancy labs will include standard obstetric panel, glucose testing, and Group B Strep (GBS) screening.

  • Phone, text, and email support
  • - You will have direct access to me during your pregnancy, early labor, and postpartum. I will be available to answer any questions and provide resources or support.
  • - I maintain office hours for non-labor and non-emergent inquiries, which are Tuesday-Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm.

  • The Home Visit
  • The home visit will take place around 36 weeks into your pregnancy. During this visit, we will discuss logistics and prepare your home for the birth.
  • We will combine our usual prenatal appointment with a review of your birth preferences. This is a good opportunity to include anyone who will be present during labor or birth, such as family members, friends, a birth doula, or a photographer.

  • Other important details
  • I will be available around the clock starting at 37 weeks of pregnancy.
  • I will offer continuous support during labor and birth, including in-person assistance from active labor through the birth of your baby. In the event of a hospital transfer, I will accompany you to ensure a smooth transition of care.
  •  Postpartum care, lactation support, and well-newborn care will continue on our regular schedule, or as close to it as possible.
  • I will have a paid birth assistant or second midwife, as well as a backup midwife in case of illness or emergency, at no additional cost to you.
  • Non-disposable birth supplies, emergency herbs, homeopathy, medications, and emergency equipment and supplies, including those necessary for resuscitation and management of abnormal bleeding, will be provided.
  • You can also use a water birth tub for active labor and birth if you wish.
  • I will provide immediate postpartum support from birth until you and your baby are stable and settled. This includes assessment of newborn transition and assistance as needed, attentive care during placental birth, monitoring of vital signs and postpartum bleeding, prompt assessment and treatment of complications if needed, initial bonding and breastfeeding support, and an herbal bath if desired. I will also take care of the full cleanup.
  • A Comprehensive Newborn Exam is completed after birth to assess newborn health and development and identify any referral needs.
  • Postpartum care for you and well-newborn care for your baby for the first 6 weeks after birth. Postpartum home visits and well-baby and feeding check-ups are routinely done at 24-36 hours, 3-4 days, 1 week, and 2 weeks. A final office visit is offered at 6 weeks. Additional visits will be provided as necessary.

  • For baby: Vitamin K prophylaxis (injection or oral dosing); Antibiotic eye ointment application; and NH Health Department screenings for Critical Congenital Heart Defect screening, Newborn Metabolic Screening, & Newborn Hearing Screening. Each of these is discussed during care and is offered based on your informed choice.
  • Filing of your baby's birth certificate and social security number

Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding is a crucial part of your postpartum journey, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. I offer education, resources, and hands-on support to help you reach your breastfeeding goals. I will also identify and provide assistance for any breastfeeding challenges.
